Shiny Eggs (B638)
Description
5 colors liquid egg dyes (red, blue, green, yellow, pink), 2 capsules with gold color, blister shellac, pair of gloves, instructions for use
Instructions for use of the gold capsule
Required working materials that are not included in the kit:
1. Small container, plastic or paper disposable cup, or a cap.
2. Brush or small soft sponge.
Liquid egg dye:
Boil the eggs in salted water. Leave them in the water to keep them warm.
1. Separate each color from the blister with scissors.
2. Cut off the tip of the desired color and pour it into a cup.
3. Add 150 ml. hot water and 2-3 tablespoons of vinegar.
4. Dip the eggs one by one until an intense color is obtained.
Gold capsules:
• Cut of the tip with scissors of the shellac blister and pour half of its contents into a suitable container (cap), add the contents of the gold capsule to it and mix it well with a brush or stick until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
• It is important that the dyed eggs are already dry, so if there are any undried droplets of egg dye, carefully absorb them with a piece of cotton or a napkin.
• Decorate the already dyed eggs with the gold solution using various application techniques – with the tip of a small sponge dipped in the gold solution various figures can be ornamented; with a brush various lines, figures and patterns can be carefully drawn, or simply a part of the egg can be colored in gold.
• After decorating the egg, let it dry for a few minutes on a non-sticky surface.
• Periodically refill with shellac and stir the gold solution, as the gold particles precipitate.
• Once the shellac solution has dried, you can easily clean with concentrated alcohol.
